Join COS
COS is determined to provide a supportive, friendly atmosphere for birders. Members enjoy the Society's focus on the enhancement of members' skill and knowledge, and their enjoyment of and access to birds.
Members of COS receive our bi-monthly newsletter, The Chicago Birder, and may participate in all club activities. About half of COS members receive The Chicago Birder by electronic mail. You will receive your newsletters more quickly, IN COLOR, will save COS postage costs, and you can print it out at home or store it on your home computer for reference for field trips, programs and other events or information. By taking newsletter delivery by email, you even get a discount on your annual membership fee.
