Join COS for an early morning bird outing at Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary. Start the week at this famous urban hotspot searching for migratory bird species such as orioles, warblers, and shorebirds. All ages and experience levels are welcome to attend. Loaner binoculars will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. This trip is designed to be a fast-paced bird outing to tally as many species as we can. The total trip distance will be about 2 miles based on bird activity and target species.

Accessibility:
We will walk roughly 1 mile in total on mostly asphalt trails. Some sections of trail are made of natural dirt that is prone to muddy conditions. Occasional trail obstacles include uneven dirt terrain and tree roots. Dress for the weather. Restrooms and water fountains are not readily available depending on the season. Cell reception is regularly available. Loaner binoculars will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.
Restrooms are available at the parking lot portable toilets.

Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Please bring bottled water. Dress for the weather. Loaner binoculars will be available.
The exact meeting location will be emailed in advance to registrants. Metered parking is available. Location is accessible by public transit via the buses 36, 78, 136, 146, 148, 151.
