COS and Lake County Audubon Society invite birders to a joint walk at Busse Woods South. We'll be walking across paved trails looking at the lagoons at Busse Woods for waterfowl as well as early woodland arrivals! After the walk we plan to gather back at the meeting point for refreshments!

Accessibility:

Total trip distance is approximately 3 mile and will take place mostly on wide paved, crushed-gravel, or wood-chip trails that are relatively level with minimal incline. We may leave the trail at times to walk through the grass for a better view of the birds. Any recent rain may create muddy conditions.

Restrooms are available at the field house.

Weather/Attire/Other:

Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Please bring bottled water. Dress for the weather. Loaner binoculars will be available.

The exact meeting location will be emailed in advance to registrants. Free parking is available in the parking lot. The 600 bus stops at the Northwest transportation center, not far from this parking lot.
