Virtual Program
Learn more about birding internationally through Em De Blas’s two adventures across the highly diverse and stunning biogeographical regions of Oaxaca, México.
Em De Blas, C.I.G. (they/them), is a birding leader in Chicagoland, but grew up in San Luis Potosí, México where they picked up a love for nature. They are an active board member of the Chicago Ornithological Society and an organizer for Chicago BIPOC Birders. In these spaces, they specialize in leading bilingual bird walks in efforts to make the birding community more welcoming to those whose primary language is Spanish, in addition to creating a space for language learners of all backgrounds to practice and develop their skills while birding. Follow their adventures on Instagram @emdeblas.
Join COS for the latest episode of Birds & Bytes where Em shares lessons learned while exploring the regions.
