Tweets & Eats: Midewin

Birds & Beers meets bird walks... a birding hang out!

Trying a slightly different concept from the typical bird walk, COS is thrilled to start the Tweets and Eats program!

Roughly each month, we'll have a small itinerary of places that we'll bird as a group. At the end of the morning of birding, we'll go patronize a local restaurant/brewery and celebrate/laugh/brag about the birds we saw.

This month’s itinerary is in the southeast side and suburbs of Chicago. No RSVP required.

The goal is for this to be a low-key social birding group. No strict start time, no RSVPs, just a bunch of people wandering around trying to see cool birds. We'll have a GroupMe group just for Tweets and Eats so we can provide up-to-date info on where the group is as well as any spur of the moment audibles. For each outing, we'll try to have some local experts there to guide folks around. Hopefully, as this grows and people get to know each other, you'll be able to carpool or even team up and suggest your own itinerary.

Check the map for tentative schedules and join the GroupMe Tweets & Eats group for information on the exact schedule and location for each meetup.
