Beginning Birding on the Wild Mile

  • The Wild Mile 905 W Eastman St Chicago, IL, 60642 United States (map)

In Person Program

Over 100 species of bird have been spotted at the Wild Mile. But how can we tell them apart? Join Chicago Ornithological Society and Urban Rivers for a workshop on the river and learn how to find and identify Chicago’s many feathered friends. We will walk participants through the basics of bird identification, discuss what you need to get started looking for birds, and take a walk along the Wild Mile in search of any currently nesting birds in or around the Chicago River. Binoculars will be provided, but bring your own if you have them!

No RSVP required.
