In Person Program
Join us for a very special guest program with Martin Harper, CEO of BirdLife International as we talk about Chicago’s place in the global mosaic of bird conservation!
Every spring, millions of birds pass through Chicago and the Great Lakes. They are part of journeys that span continents. These migrations connect the Midwest to places as distant as the Arctic and South America. This reveals something fundamental about how our world works. Nature is connected, and what happens in one place affects another. And these same systems support people and communities along the way.
Martin Harper, CEO of BirdLife International, will illuminate what we can learn from birds. Their movements help us see the bigger picture. They show why protecting the places they depend on—from the Great Lakes to global flyways—provides a practical path for people and nature in a connected world.
