A Year of the Nighthawk program

Chicago Ornithological Society and the Field Museum invite you to join us for an exclusive behind the scenes event in the Year of the Nighthawk!
Museum staff will take us on a behind-the-scenes journey through the Field Museum's Bird Collection highlighting nightjar specimens! We’ll explore the role museums play in conservation as we get an up close look at species and eggs from around the world.
All are welcome to attend this free event but RSVP is required.
You must RSVP in advance. Pre-registration is required for entry to this program. Please contact chicagobirder@gmail.com at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot attend or with questions.
Location and Transportation:
Entrance is the south side of the museum. Paid parking is available in the Soldiers Field garage and on main streets around museum campus. Access to museum campus by vehicle may be limited by other events taking place elsewhere on campus. The musuem is accessible by public transit via the #146 CTA buss as well as routes 6, 26, 28, J14 and Metra electric trains with some walking involved. The museum is very easily accessible via bike.

Main entrance and theater is at ground level and accessible; floors marble. Restrooms are available onsite.
