Every winter, birders and nature lovers eagerly await the arrival (invasions) of Snowy Owls in Chicago from the Artic. Owls and other arctic birds are driven South by a dramatic and mysterious process called "Irruptions!" Join Chicago Ornithological Society in the Ford Calumet Environmental Center as we explore and take a deep dive into everything we know about irruptions and how to find these rare visitors from the north!

This in person program is free but requires RSVP. Face coverings are required for all participants ages 2 and up in Chicago Park District Facilities
