Given the seriousness of the COVID-19 situation, COS is cancelling all bird walks through April 5, 2020. Please visit our blog for more information: https://www.chicagobirder.org/blog/2020/3/13/cos-trips-cancelled
Join COS for a trip to the Calumet area to look for various marsh and grassland species, and migrating shorebirds and waders. The trip leader will determine the sites we will explore based on current conditions of shorebird habitat. We may visit Hegewisch Marsh, Indian Ridge Marsh, or other good birding spots in close proximity. Stay tuned for details! Wear sturdy footwear or waterproof boots. Beginning birders are welcome and we will have extra binoculars available.
