Des Plaines River Migrants

Search for warblers and other early spring migrants with Jill Anderson along selected Des Plaines River spots. Meet at Evans Field which has good parking. The entrance is north of the intersection of North Ave and Thatcher, just west of Bloomingdale Ave. From there, we will move south along the river, depending on bird activity and birder interest.

McClaughry Springs for warblers and other spring migrants

Join Wes and Amar at McClaughry Springs in the Palos Forest Preserves as we search for warblers and other spring migrants.

Directions: From the intersection of 119th and Lagrange Rd, turn east a half mile and turn on Kean Ave. There is a very large rock at this intersection. Turn left (north) to the first parking lot on the left.

Chicago's Underbirded Parks - Humboldt Park

COS continues its series of Underbirded Chicago Parks field trips. Join Sam at Humboldt Park in search of spring migrants. This large park has a variety of habitats including ponds, prairies, and woods.

Directions: Meet at the parking lot at the field house which is on the west side of Humboldt Park Blvd, south of North Avenue, and north of Division.
